Rohan Dwayne Patterson has been arrested on an outstanding warrant for attempted first-degree murder following an incident in Fort Washington earlier this month, according to the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday, Nov. 22.
The incident began on Tuesday, Nov. 8 in the 9500 block of Allentown Way, investigators say.
When police spoke with Patterson’s victim, it was determined that the two planned to meet up to settle an undisclosed dispute, picking a mutual spot to meet up.
However, Patterson was allegedly driving behind his victim when he fired a gun at him prior to settling matters, according to investigators. He then fled the scene and was later identified as the agency's lead suspect a week later.
Last week, deputies determined that Patterson was at an address in the 500 block of Wilson Bridge Drive in Oxon Hill, where police tracked him down and arrested him without incident on the warrant.
Specifically, Patterson was charged with:
- Attempted second-degree murder;
- First-degree assault;
- Second-degree assault;
- Use of a firearm during a violent crime;
- Reckless endangerment from a car;
- Loaded handgun in a vehicle;
- Handgun in vehicle;

- Loaded handgun on a person.
No return court date has been announced by the sheriff’s office.
